Rescuers are using drilling equipment in the city of Mandalay, Myanmar, to search for people who may be trapped under the rubble of the March 28 earthquake. Such missions are still underway in many areas across the country, amid dwindling hopes of finding survivors. The death toll from the disaster has risen to at least 3,145, with more than 4,600 injured and around 221 still missing. As aid from the United Nations continues to trickle into Myanmar, UNICEF yesterday (April 3) delivered around 80 tonnes of aid to Yangon for distribution to victims, along with aid from several other countries.
